Curriculum
At Radnor House Prep School we deliver a broad and inspiring curriculum designed to nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence. We believe in educating the whole child — academically, physically, socially and emotionally — giving each pupil the opportunity to grow in skill, character and ambition.
Academic Programme
Our curriculum offers a rich mix of traditional academic subjects and innovative, future-focused learning. Children are encouraged to think, question, explore and discover — embracing challenge, developing resilience and learning to make thoughtful decisions.
As part of our long-term vision, when we relocate to the historic Pope’s Villa (the future permanent home of Radnor House Prep), we will benefit from purpose-built specialist facilities. These will include dedicated laboratories for science and STEM studies, art and design & technology suites, a gym/theatre space, music and performance rooms, a modern library and flexible breakout learning spaces — enabling a curriculum that blends academic rigour with creative, practical and physical learning.
Values-led Education and Personal Development
Our curriculum is underpinned by the core values of our school community — fostering Respect, Resilience and Reflection (our “3R” values) in every child.
We believe education should shape not only what children know, but who they become. Through a values-led, inclusive and caring environment, pupils learn kindness, responsibility, empathy and integrity — equipping them for life beyond the classroom.
Co-Curricular and Enrichment Opportunities
At Radnor House Prep, we believe in providing a wide range of opportunities beyond formal lessons. From STEAM, art, design and music to sport, drama and performance, our co-curricular programme is designed to help every child explore their interests and develop confidence, creativity and physical skills.
We are also committed to offering pastoral care, wellbeing support, and a community atmosphere where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Our inclusive approach ensures that children with different learning needs are supported, while lessons remain challenging and aspirational for all.
Preparation for Senior School and Beyond
As a prep school within the wider Dukes Education family, we offer a seamless pathway into senior education. Our curriculum aims to prepare pupils not just for transition to senior school, but for lifelong learning: fostering adaptability, self-confidence, a love of learning and a strong sense of personal growth.
